Tony Stafford, a native of Belmont, North Carolina, has a BA from Wake Forest University in Philosophy with minors in English and Latin, an MA from the University of Texas at El Paso in English and American Literature, and a PhD from Louisiana State University in English and American Literature with a dissertation on Shakespeare. He has published scholarly articles on Shakespeare, Renaissance Drama, Shaw, Mamet, Rabb, and other British and American playwrights. He has also had numerous plays produced across the country and has a novel, The Grace of a Summer's Day. He is Professor of English at the University of Texas at El
Paso where he teaches courses on Shakespeare and British and American drama as well as having served as Chair of the Department on four different occasions.
