Chet Frame, Technical Director
Chet has been with the El Paso Playhouse since the 1984 - 1985 season when he appeared in "There's a Girl in My Soup." He started directing in the 1985 - 1986 season and has directed at least one show every season since.
He has a BA with Highest Honors in English with a minor in Theater and a minor in Journalism. He has an M.A. in Speech/Theater from Washington State University in Pullman, WA. He has been active in theater since his fourth birthday when he appeared in a religious play and spoke his first four lines. We haven't been able to keep him quiet since then.
Chet became the Technical Director at the EPPH in 1988. He stepped down for four years and returned to that post in 1994 and continues to serve in that capacity. He has rebuilt the stage, rebuilt the auditorium floor twice, and designed and built more than 100 sets for the Playhouse. He has also designed and built for Kids-N-Co., SRO, the Wise Theater at UTEP, the Chamizal, the Chavez Theater, and the Plaza.
